ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- For the second consecutive week, senior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

The Valley Golfer of the Week honor was the second of the season for Lemek and a Missouri Valley Conference record 18th career selection.  She has now earned the distinction following 18 of her 37 career regular-season events and broke the previous Valley mark of 17 Golfer of the Week picks previously held by former Illinois State standout Samantha Richdale. 

Lemek matched a season-best with a two-under 70 to climb into seventh in the final standings at the 38th annual Pat Bradley Invitational Tuesday and help Bradley women's golf team to a ninth-place finish in its final event of the 2015 Fall schedule.  She improved her score in all three rounds at the par-72 Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. 

After opening up play with a 77 in Sunday's opening round, she shot 74 Monday and concluded the fall by matching a season-best with a two-under 70 to finish at 221 (+5).  Lemek posted her fourth top-10 finish of the year and placed in the top 10 for the second straight time with a seventh-place showing at the Pat Bradley Invitational.  Lemek, who carded her 17th consecutive sub-80 round for the fourth longest streak in program history, placed in the top seven in each of her four trips to the Pat Bradley Invitational and closed her career with a 72.67 career average at the Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club.  She finished the fall with a 74.19 stroke average.

Lemek holds Bradley career records for stroke average (74.42), individual titles (9), top-10 finishes (27) and sub-80 rounds (96) entering the final semester of her career on The Hilltop. 

The Bradley women's golf team will open its spring schedule Feb. 22 & 23 at the Amelia Island Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Fla.
