PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Kristen Busch (Waterloo, Ill./Freeburg) will run in Saturday NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country in Louisville, Ky., with Saturday's 6K championship race starting at 11 a.m. (CST).
Busch is the first Missouri Valley Conference female student-athlete to earn a spot in the NCAA Cross Country Championship since 2012 and is the first Bradley runner to advance to the championship since Mary Ellen Hill in 1999. The two-time USTFCCCA All-Region honoree is the lone Valley runner in the field for Saturday's championship, which will be held at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.

Busch finished sixth at last week's NCAA Midwest Regional in Lawrence, Kan., posting a school record 6K time of 20:25.9. Her time broke her previous school record of 20:32.7 set at last month's Pre-Nationals in Louisville, Ky.
