PEORIA, Ill. -- A pair of Bradley women's golfers recently earned awards with senior women's golfer Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) recently being named the Nebraska Women's Amateur Golf Association (NWAGA) Player of the Year and freshman Frankie Saban (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg) was selected for the 2015 Mid-American Junior Golf Tour's All-Midwest team. 

Lemek took home NWAGA Player of the Year for the second consecutive year after she won three NWAGA titles in 2015.  She opened the summer by claiming her third consecutive NWAGA Stroke Play Championship at the par-72 Hidden Valley Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb. 

In mid-June, Lemek defended her Nebraska Women's Amateur title with a tournament record total of three-under 207 for a nine-shot victory at the North Bend Golf Course in North Bend, Neb.  Lemek capped the summer by defending her NWAGA Match Play Championship in July.  She enters her final semester holding Bradley career records for stroke average, medalist titles, sub-80 rounds and top-10 finishes.  Lemek had a team-best 74.19 stroke average this fall and finished in the top 10 in four of six tournaments. 

Saban finished fourth in the 2015 MAJGT point standings with 570 points to earn a spot on the MAJGT All-Midwest team.  Last summer, Saban claimed medalist honors by an impressive nine strokes at the MAJGT University of Illinois Classic.  This fall, Saban played in four events for the Bradley women's golf team and carded three sub-80 rounds. 

The Bradley women's golf team is slated to open its spring schedule Feb. 22 & 23 at the Amelia Island Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Fla.
