ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Junior Whitney Tinjum (Stacy, Minn./Chisago Lakes/Washington State) scored all 19 of her team-high points during a 10-minute stretch of the second half to help Bradley cut was a 36-point Saint Louis lead to 12 midway through the fourth, but the Billikens held on to top the Braves 75-58 Wednesday in the final non-conference game of the year.

Bradley (4-7 overall) got off to a slow start, making just 2-of-16 from the field to open the game and Saint Louis (10-3 overall) led 23-4 after the first 10 minutes of the contest.  The Billikens owned a 38-16 at the half and were able to stretch the lead to 36 points (57-21) nearing the four-minute mark of the third before Tinjum took over.

Tinjum had a three-point play and scored all 11 Bradley points during an 11-4 Braves run.  A three to beat the buzzer to end the third by sophomore Shareece Burrell (Des Moines, Iowa/East) helped Bradley end the third period with a 7-0 run and pull within 22 points (63-41) heading to the fourth quarter.

A Tinjum three-point play early in the fourth opened a 12-2 Bradley run.  Sophomore Anneke Schlueter (Ulm, Germany/Max-Weber-Schule) followed with back-to-back three-pointers and a Tinjum three with 5:37 left cut the Saint Louis advantage to 67-55.

Tinjum, who made seven consecutive shots from the midway point of the third to the halfway point of the fourth quarter, scored all 19 of her points during that stretch to help make it a four-possession game.

Bradley got just one more basket over the next five minutes, however, as Saint Louis held on for the 75-58 victory to snap a four-game win streak in the all-time series for the Braves.

Tinjum was one of three Bradley players in double figures, joined by sophomore Tamya Sims (Milwaukee, Wis./Oak Cree) with 13 points and Schlueter (10 points).  Sims also had seven rebounds, three blocks and one steal.  Schlueter became just the second player in program history to hit at least one three-pointer in each of the first 11 games of a season, joining Michelle Nason (1993-94), as she made 2-of-5 from three-point range.

The Braves shot 47 percent from the field in the second half and made 21-of-50 (42 percent) over the final 30 minutes after the 2-for-16 start.  Bradley, which was 0-for-7 from three-point range to open the game, also made five of nine three's over the final 14 minutes of the contest.

Sadie Stipanovich led Saint Louis with 26 points on 12-for-15 shooting to go with nine rebounds and three blocks.  Jackie Kemph turned in her third double-double of the year with 15 points and 12 assists, while  Peoria native Denisha Womack led Saint Louis on the glass with 12 rebounds to help the Billikens to a 43-35 rebounding edge.

Bradley will open Missouri Valley Conference play Sunday with a 6 p.m. game against Loyola at Renaissance Coliseum.
