PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore Anneke Schlueter (Ulm, Germany/Max-Weber/Schule) hit four of her first five three-point attempts to help Bradley build a 43-34 lead midway through the third quarter, but missed free throws and turnovers proved costly as Illinois-Chicago used a 27-6 run en route to a 66-56 victory over the Braves Saturday afternoon at Renaissance Coliseum.

Bradley (3-4 overall) got off to a quick start, jumping out a 9-2 lead less than four minutes the contest.  Schlueter, who finished with a season-best 19 points, scored five points during the opening 10 minutes and helped the Braves to a 16-12 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Schlueter added two more three-pointers as collected 11 points in the first half and helped Bradley led 32-28 at the break.

The Braves were able to stretch the lead to seven in the opening minutes of the third quarter and back-to-back breakaway layups by sophomore Tamya Sims (Milwaukee, Wis./Oak Creek) gave Bradley its largest lead of the game at 43-34 nearing the six-minute mark of the third.

Both teams struggled offensively for the rest of the third quarter with the teams combining for just three baskets in the final six minutes of the period.  Pre-season Horizon League Player of the Year Ruvanna Campbell collected four points, three rebounds and a block in the final six minutes of the third as Illinois-Chicago (5-1 overall) trimmed the Bradley lead to 45-41 heading to the final quarter.

A Schlueter jumper with 8:19 to play was the only Bradley hoop during a near 12-minute stretch, which ended in the final minute.  The Flames took advantage of the Bradley drought, which included 10 turnovers and four missed free throws, to go on a 27-6 run which erased a 45-37 lead for the Braves and put UIC in front 64-51 with just under one minute to play.  Illinois-Chicago went on to close out the 66-56 road victory for the third road win of the year for the Flames.

The first Bradley player with four three-pointers in three consecutive games since 2008-09, Schlueter was 4-for-8 from beyond the arc and finished with a season-best 19 points.  Junior Whitney Tinjum (Stacy, Minn./Chisago Lakes/Washington State) joined her in double figures with 10 points off the bench.  The pair combined to make 6-of-12 three-point attempts.

The Braves committed a season-high 23 turnovers and shot a season-low 55 percent from the free throw line (11-for-20) in the setback.  Illinois-Chicago outrebounded Bradley 34-30 and the Flames shot 46 percent from the field in their first road win in the series.

Campbell led UIC with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and five steals in 36 minutes.  Kendyl Nunn scored 13 points off the bench to help pace the Flames.

Bradley plays the final non-conference home game of the year Tuesday when the Braves host Kent State in a 7 p.m. game at Renaissance Coliseum.
