ROCKFORD, Ill. – Sophomore Ariel Dechter enjoyed a perfect day by going a combined 3-0 in singles and doubles action and Bradley (2-2) split of pair of dual matches Saturday at the Boylan Tennis Center. After dropping a 4-3 decision to host Northern Illinois (3-0), the Braves bounced back with a 7-0 sweep against IUPUI (0-2).

Dechter and Irinka Toidze cruised to a 6-1 win in No. 2 doubles against the Huskies, but Northern Illinois earned the pivotal doubles point by earning a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles, then squeaking out a 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles.
Scoring went back and forth as Toidze put the Braves on the board with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles and Dechter made it 2-2 with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles. Cassia Wojtalik added a 7-6, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles, but the Huskies held on with wins at Nos. 1, 3 and 4 singles.

Despite the energy expended in the morning's match, the Braves had plenty left in the tank in their 7-0 sweep against IUPUI.
Bradley started the rout when freshman Alexa Brandt and sophomore Ashley Thai rolled to a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while the duo of freshman Aimee Manfredo and senior Elizabeth Przystawski secured the match's first point with a 7-5 victory at No. 3 doubles. With the doubles point decided, the No. 2 match was halted in a 6-6 tie.
The Braves swept the six singles matches, winning five of the six matches in straight sets, while Ashley Thai recovered from her first-set loss for a 3-set win at No. 4 singles.
Bradley will return to action with another doubleheader Saturday at Clubs at River City. The Braves will play their 2015 home opener at 9 a.m. against Valparaiso (0-2), followed by a 1 p.m. dual against SIU Edwardsville (2-2) at 1 o'clock.
