PEORIA, Ill. - The Bradley women's tennis team will try to continue its strong early start by hosting a triangular with Western Illinois and Green Bay Saturday at the Clubs at River City.

The Braves have opened the spring dual match season with a 4-3 record and can surpass last year's season win total with a victory Saturday. Bradley will get the day started against Western Illinois (0-8) at 9 a.m. and the day's schedule will continue with a noon match between the Leathernecks and Green Bay (0-3), before the Braves take on Green Bay at 3 p.m. in Saturday's finale.

Although Western Illinios owns a 23-14 all-time record against Bradley, the Braves have won four straight and 11 of the last 12 in the series. The Phoenix are 8-4 all-time against Bradley, but the Braves have won two straight in the series by 6-1 scores.

In addition to the team results, Bradley sophomore Ariel Dechter already is within reach of tying the school's single-season record for singles wins in a season. Dechter enters Saturday's doubleheader with a 17-7 singles record, including a 5-2 mark at No. 2 during the dual match season. Teri Chan set the single-season school record with 19 wins as a sophomore in 2004-05, then matched the mark with 19 wins in both the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. Following Saturday's twinbill, Bradley still has at least 15 dual matches remaining this season.

Admission to all Bradley Tennis matches is free.
