TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Bradley women's golf team carded its lowest round of the spring with a first-round 301 Sunday and is tied with Indiana State for the team lead at the Indiana State Spring Invitational, while junior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) is second after the first day of play.

Bradley has two of the top three in the field and three of the top eight as the Braves turned in their lowest team score since the second round of the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo., back on Sept. 29 with a first-round 301.  The opening-round 301 matched tournament-host Indiana State for low round honors Sunday as the Missouri Valley Conference rivals have an eight-shot lead on third-place Loyola entering Monday's final round.

The defending individual medalist at the Indiana State Spring Invite, Lemek is just one shot behind Indiana State's Marissa Uradomo for top individual honors.  Uradomo shot a 72 Sunday, while Lemek is second overall at 73 as she extended her streak of consecutive sub-80 rounds to 31.

Freshman Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) is one back of Lemek in a tie for third at 74 as she carded her 17th round in the 70's this year.  Junior Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) joined the pair in the top 10 with a 76 to finish the day tied for eighth.

Fellow freshman Grace Henderson (Peachtree Corners, Ga./Blessed Trinity) matched a season best round with a 78 at the par-72 Country Club of Terre Haute and is tied for 15th overall.  Junior Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) is tied for 54th (84) to round out the team scoring for the Braves, while freshman Abby Wellens (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) is in the field as an individual and is tied for 62nd (85).

Bradley and Indiana State are tied atop the team leaderboard at 301, with Loyola eight shots behind in third at 309 and Western Illinois following in fourth at 311.  William Woods finished the day in fifth (312), one shot ahead of Northern Iowa (6th – 313) and seven shots better than seventh-place Southern Illinois (320).

South Dakota is eighth at 322 after Sunday's round with Evansville (9th – 324) and Eastern Illinois (10th – 328) following close behind.  Rend Lake and Dayton are tied for 11th at 330, while Chicago State completes the field at 351.

The final round of the Indiana State Spring Invitational is scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. (CDT).
