PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) opened the summer by defending a pair of state titles, claiming her third consecutive Nebraska Women's Amateur Golf Association's Stroke Play title earlier this month in addition to winning the Nebraska Women's Amateur for the second straight year last week to help highlight the early summer exploits for the Bradley women's golf team.

Lemek opened her summer with a three-under 69 in the first round of the NWAGA Stroke Play Championship at the par-72 Hidden Valley Golf in Lincoln, Neb.  She followed it up with a 72 to finish at 141 and edge Nebraska senior women's golfer Morgan Smejkal for top honors by one stroke to add yet another state title to her impressive resume.

Last week, Lemek defended her Nebraska Women's Amateur title in dominating fashion at the par-70 North Bend Golf Course in North Bend, Neb.  Matching scores of two-under 68 in the first two rounds gave Lemek a commanding 12-shot lead on the field heading into the final round.

A third-round score of 71 gave her a tournament scoring record total of three-under 207 and an impressive nine-shot victory.  Lemek is the first individual to win back-to-back Nebraska Women's Amateur titles since J.C. Stevenson claimed the 2009 and 2010 crowns.

In addition to Lemek's honors, senior Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) ran away with medalist honors at the Manitoba City and District Championship by six strokes, firing rounds of 74 and 71 to win the tournament by six strokes.

Sophomore Grace Henderson (Peachtree Corners, Ga./Blessed Trinity) advanced to the round of the 16 at the 2015 Georgia Women's Match Play Championship earlier this month.

Incoming freshman Frankie Saban (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg) also helped highlight early June for the Braves with a fourth-place showing at the Mid American Junior Golf Tour Classic at the par-72 Kankakee Elks Country Club.  Saban had rounds of 79 and 76 to finish four shots out of second.
