PEORIA, Ill. -- Former Bradley men's golf standouts Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) and Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) have both had success early in their professional careers, while senior Lyle Burns (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour/Parkland) recently finished 14th at the Illinois State Amateur. 

Masrin turned pro in late spring, tying for 21st in an Indonesian Tour Event in his debut and went on to tie for 25th in his first outing on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) in June at the Rahman Putra Championship.  Earlier this week, Masrin posted his best finish of the summer by taking third at the Taiwan PGA Championship with a nine-under 279.  Masrin fired a six-under 66 to lead after the opening round of Taiwan PGA Championship and followed up a second round 75 with scores of 70 and 68 to finish third overall. 

Trolia tied for top honors at the Illinois Open Qualifier in Crete, Ill., with a three-under 69 at the Balmoral Woods Country Club.  After making his professional debut earlier this summer, Trolia went on to tie for eighth at the 66th annual Illinois Open Championship.  He rebounded from a first-round 73 at the Royal Melbourne Country Club in Long Grove, Ill., to card a second-round 70 and three-under 69 to finish three shots out of the top four at 212. 

Burns was one of three Braves to make the field at the 85th Illinois State Amateur Championship, which was held July 14-16 at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Ill.  He made the cut by five shots, with opening rounds of 73 and 69.  Burns went on to claim 14th in the individual standings at 287 to finish four shots out of the top 10. 

Joining Burns in the Illinois State Amateur and Trolia in the Illinois Open was junior men's golfer Zach Jewell (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone/Illinois Central).  Jewell tied for 11th with a 73 at the same Illinois Open Qualifier as Trolia and also earned a spot in the Illinois State Amateur along with senior Garrett Cox (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour).
