ST. LOUIS - Bradley sophomore midfielder J.T. Kotowski (Keller, TX/Keller HS) added to his weekly honors Tuesday afternoon when he was named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Kotowski, who was named to the 11-player College Soccer News Team of the Week Monday, helped the Braves (3-1-0) to a pair of 1-0 wins versus DePaul Friday and Milwaukee Saturday by keying a defensive effort that allowed the two opponents to combine for just five shots on goal. He also scored his first goal since the 2012 season by scoring on a bicycle kick in the 87th minute for Sunday's winner against the Panthers.

Kotowski, who missed the bulk of the last two seasons with separate ACL injuries, joins Bryan Gaul as the only two players in program history to win both the league's Offensive and Defensive Player-of-the-Week awards. Kotowski earned the MVC Offensive Player-of-the-Week honor during his freshman season on Oct. 8, 2012.

Bradley has won three consecutive games by identical 1-0 scores for the first time in the program's 29-year history. After sweeping their early-season, 3-game home stand, the Braves will hit the road for their next three games, beginning with Friday night's clash at Utah Valley.
