PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior guard Danielle Brewer (Coatesville, Ind.) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after matching a career-high with 17 points to help highlight Sunday's 103-59 victory over Eureka.

Brewer tied a career-high with 17 points in 24 minutes off the bench as she made 2-of-3 three-point attempts and was 3-of-4 from the free throw line in the victory.  She also grabbed three boards and had two assists, one block and one steal as she helped the Braves to a Renaissance Coliseum record for points and the most points by Bradley in a home game since first-year head coach Andrea Gorski's second-to-last home game as a Brave during her senior year of 1991-92.  A public relations major, Brewer owns a 3.82 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Brewer and the Bradley women's basketball team return to action Wednesday night, hosting Green Bay in a 7 p.m. contest at Renaissance Coliseum.
