JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After shooting a season-best 294 in the opening round of the Amelia Island Intercollegiate, the Bradley women's golf team carded a school-record two-over 290 in the afternoon as the Braves finished the day second in the team standings.

In the first round of the 2016 spring schedule, Bradley shot a six-over 294 to challenge the school record of 293 set in the opening round of the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Springfield, Ill.  The day's second round was one for the record books with the Braves shooting a two-over 290 to break the old school mark.

Bradley, which is second in the standings in the 16-team field after Monday's action, turned in the lowest 36-hole total in school history (584) to top the previous record of 596 from the 2014 Johnie Imes Invitational.  The Braves are 11 shots behind first-place North Florida (575) and two shots ahead of third-place Cincinnati (586).

Senior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) opened her final semester with a par 72 at the Amelia National Golf Club and had the low round of the day for Bradley with a two-under 70 in the second round to match her low round of the season.  Lemek is third overall in the individual standings at 142, six shots back of the lead.  The pair of 70's extended her streak of consecutive sub-80 rounds to 19, which is tied for the third longest in program history.

Fellow senior Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) carded a season-best one-under 71 to start the day and is one back of Lemek in a tie for fourth after a second-round 72.  Roadley moved into seventh in school history in career sub-80 rounds with her 47th.

Sophomore Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) followed up a first-round 75 with a 72 and is five shots behind Lemek in a tie for 16th (147).  Freshman Chloe Horton (Coral Gables, Fla./Ransom Everglades) turned in a pair of season-bests 76 to close the day five shots out of the top 20 at 152, while sophomore Grace Henderson (Peachtree Corners, Ga./Blessed Trinity) completed the team scoring for the Braves at 157 with scores of 80 and 77 Monday.

The final round of the Amelia Island Intercollegiate will tee off Tuesday at 7 a.m. (CST).
