ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Senior Lyle Burns (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour/Parkland C.C.) shared Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after he tied for medalist honors at last weekend's Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., announced by the league office Wednesday. 

Burns finished in a five-way tie for the individual title at the Hoosier Invitational with the Illinois State pair of Trent Wallace and Zach Burry and the trio shared MVC Golfer of the Week honors.  The award was the third of the 2015-16 season for Burns and fourth of his career as he joined Seth Trolia as the only four-time MVC Golfer of the Week selections in program history.

Battling wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour during Saturday's opening round, Burns matched a season-best with a four-under 67 at the par-71 Indiana University Golf Course for the low round of the tournament.  With Saturday's second round suspended due to high winds shortly after getting underway, he followed up his first round 67 with a 75 when Saturday's second round was resumed Sunday morning to tie for medalist honors at 142. 

Burns became just the fifth individual in program history to total more than 50 sub-80 rounds in a two-year span and turned in his fifth top-10 finish of the year in addition to claiming medalist honors for the second straight tournament.  He has four rounds in the 60's this season and holds the Bradley career record for sub-70 rounds with 10. 

The Bradley men's golf team will host the Bradley Invitational Sunday & Monday at WeaverRidge Golf Club, opening play Sunday at 8 a.m.
