PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's golf team hits the halfway point of its fall schedule Monday and Tuesday when the Braves take part in the fourth annual Derek Dolenc Invitational in Madison, Ill.

Bradley has played in each of the first three previous Derek Dolenc Invitationals, with this year's event marking the second straight year it will be played at the par-71 Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.  Last year's event resulted in the lowest 54-hole score (862) in program history for the Braves.

Play gets underway both Monday and Tuesday with 8 a.m. shotgun starts.  BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live scoring via Birdiefire.

The Braves opened a stretch in which they will play four tournaments in a 22-day span with a second-place finish at the John Dallio Memorial in Lemont, Ill., this past Monday and Tuesday.

Junior Ethan Brue (Chandlerville, Ill./AC Central/Illinois Central) has been impressive in his first two outings at Bradley, claiming medalist honors at both the John Dallio Memorial and the season-opening Crusader Collegiate in Chesterton, Ind., earlier this month.  Brue has carded four of his six rounds as a Brave under par and owns a team-best 71.67 stroke average.

Sophomore Drake Bushong (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) turned in one of his best performances of his freshman year at last year's Derek Dolenc Invite.  Bushong finished at even par 213 last fall in the event to tie for 10th after firing rounds of 70 and 69 on the first day.  Both Bushong, who is averaging 74.00 per round, and Brue have placed in the top 10 in each of Bradley's first two events this fall.

Junior Zach Jewell's (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone/Illinois Central) career-low round of 69 came in the opening round of last year's Derek Dolenc Invitational and he went on to tie for 14th overall, one shot behind Bushong at 214.  Jewell has shot 73 or better in four of six rounds this year and owns a 74.33 average this season.

Bradley's most experienced player on the roster, senior Bobby Jacobs (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) has carded a 75 or better in four of six rounds this year and needs four sub-80 rounds to become the 29th individual in program history with 50 or more career rounds in the 70's or better.  Jacobs enters the Derek Dolenc Invite with a 74.17 season average.

The Braves will play their third tournament in a two-week span, Oct. 3 & 4 at the Zach Johnson Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
