Men's Cross Country 10/30/2017 4:55:00 PM
After sweeping the Missouri Valley Conference Championship for the second time in three years, both Bradley cross country programs earned their season-best ranking in the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Poll, released on Monday. The men are currently the fifth-ranked team in the Midwest, while the women placed sixth.

Behind the program's first individual champion in 52 years, Jake Hoffert, the Bradley men's team won its third-straight MVC Championship on Saturday. The Braves are now ranked fifth in the Midwest Region, matching the program's all-time best finish at the regional meet one year ago. The Braves moved up two spots in the poll from the last release and trail only Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Illinois and Minnesota from the nine-state region.

The Bradley women's team put together one of the most dominant races in MVC Championship history to cruise to its third title in four years. Five Braves placed in the top eight at the meet and the team's 30 total points are just one shy of the conference record. Bradley's rise of three spots to number six in the poll marks the highest ranking for BU since placing fifth in the final regular-season poll of the 2015 season.

The rankings are the final benchmark before the Braves compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a bid to the 2017 NCAA Championship on the line. Both programs are set to compete in Ames, Iowa on Friday, Nov. 10, beginning at 10:45 a.m.
