PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior defender Jacob Taylor (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after assisting a pair of goals during last week's Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Championship which was played at Shea Stadium.

Taylor had a pair of assists as he helped Bradley reach the MVC Tournament semifinals.  In last Wednesday's 3-1 quarterfinal victory over Drake, he assisted what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 49th minute with a long throw in on a strike by Alex Ciaramitaro.  Taylor also assisted Bradley's lone goal in a 1-1 tie against #2 seed Central Arkansas in the semifinals with a long throw in during the 22nd minute for his team-best sixth assist of the year.  A mechanical engineering major, Taylor owns a 3.61 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
