ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Freshman Taylor Ledwein (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

Ledwein tied for 21st to pace the Bradley women's golf team at the Amelia Island Collegiate in the first outing of the spring for the Braves.  She extended her streak of consecutive sub-80 rounds to 15 for the sixth longest in school history and second longest by a Bradley freshman with rounds of 74, 76 and 74 (224) at the par-72 Amelia National Golf Club.

Ledwein helped Bradley to a 15th-place finish in the 18-team field which included two teams ranked in Golfweek.com's top 100 and a total of 14 teams from the states of Georgia (4), North Carolina (3), Florida (3), Alabama (3) and Texas (1).

The MVC Golfer of the Week selection is the first for Ledwein and the first of the 2016-17 season for the Braves.  Ledwein leads the team with a 75.74 stroke average and has been the team's top finisher in four of the last five tournaments.  She has placed in the top 10 in three events and owns a team-best 18 rounds in the 70's.
