Dunderdale Sets 3,000m Record at Meyo Invitational

For the third time this season, junior Haran Dunderdale has found himself in the Bradley track record book as the junior set the program's standard in the 3,000m run at the second day of the Meyo Invitational on Notre Dame's campus.

Dunderdale finished the event with a time of 8:04.87 – finishing third overall at Notre Dame. The junior's time is the best in the Missouri Valley Conference this season and the 24th-best in the nation in 2017. His mark eclipsed the previous record of 8:05.66, set by Michael Ward last season. Dunderdale previous set the program's 800m record this season (since broken) and was part of the record-setting 4x800m relay.

Senior Patrick Campbell also recorded one of the best finishes in school history in the 3,000m run, posting a time of 8:08.21. His time is the fourth-best in school history and the fourth-best in the MVC this season.

Meanwhile, junior Daniel Gagne posted the third-best time in BU history in the mile run with a time of 4:05.83 – setting his personal record. His time also represents the second-best in the MVC this year, trailing only Dunderdale's time at the Gladstein Invitational.

On the women's side, sophomore Brooke Nusser led the Braves in the mile run with a time of 5:00.22 to highlight the day for Bradley.

The Braves also competed at the Olivet Nazarene Invitational on Saturday with six members of the team recording top-three finishes.

On the women's side, Emma Makowski placed third in the 800m run (2:20.90), while Mackenzie Griffin (5:14.50) and Casey Kramer (5:19.64) were second and third in the mile run. Natalie Burant (10:27.14) and Nicole Alfano (10:31.45) rounded out the meet with second and third-place finishes in the 3,000m run.

For the BU men, Michael Hahndorf won the 3,000m run with a time of 8:46.85.

Bradley is back in action next Friday at the GVSU Big Meet and the Iowa State Classic.
