PEORIA, IL - In a matchup of early-season, undefeated squad, Eastern Illinois (4-0) took advantage of short-handed Bradley's lineup shuffle to earn a 7-0 sweep of the host Braves (1-1) Saturday afternoon at the Clubs at River City.

Bradley played without senior star Ari Dechter, the winningest player in program history, due to a family emergency, forcing everyone in the playing rotation up one spot and a shuffle in the team's Nos. 2 and 3 doubles pairings.  After Bradley played the Panthers close in a 4-3 loss last season, Eastern Illinois made the most of Saturday's lineup shuffle.  The Panthers started strong, taking the doubles point in a 3-0 sweep and Srishti Slaria won the clinching point for the visitors in the No. 4 singles place.

Sophomore Malini Wijesinghe, playing in the No. 5 singles spot, provided Bradley's strongest resistance, dropping a 7-5, 3-6, 7-10 decision, while sophomore Julie Martin earned Bradley's only other set victory in her 6-3, 0-6, 2-6 loss at No. 6 singles.

The Braves will start a 3-match road swing Sunday by facing Northern Illinois in a 10 a.m. dual at Rockford's Boylan Tennis Center.
