Ally Scaccia Named COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior women's golfer Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Bradley women's golf team to a pair of second-place finishes during the squad's spring break trip to Texas.
 
Scaccia finished in the top 10 in both tournaments, tying for seventh at the Bradley Spring Break Invitational in Farmers Branch, Texas, in addition to tying for fourth at the Cardinal Challenge in Beaumont, Texas.  She had matching rounds of 76 on the first day of the Bradley Spring Break Invite and fired her lowest round of the spring with a third-round 74.  Scaccia tied for seventh in the field at 226.  At the three-day Cardinal Challenge, Scaccia had 75's in the first and second rounds before matching her spring low with a final round 74 to tie for fourth overall at 224.  She is tied for the team lead with 23 rounds in the 70's this season and earned the seventh and eighth top-10 finishes of her career.  An international business major, Scaccia owns a 3.40 cumulative grade point average. 
 
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
 
Scaccia and the Bradley women's golf team return to action April 1 & 2 when they host the Bradley Spring Invitational at WeaverRidge Golf Club.
