Dechter Earns Third MVC All-Select Award

Bradley's winningest player leads the Braves into this weekend's MVC Women's Tennis Championship

NORMAL, IL - Bradley senior Ariel Dechter (Mundelein, IL/Mundelein H.S.) added to her hardware collection Thursday night when she was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis All-Select Team for a third consecutive year during the league's pre-tournament banquet.

The winningest player in Bradley Tennis history with 150 combined career victories among her 18 program records, Dechter was the 2014 MVC Newcomer of the Year and also received MVC All-Select honors in 2015 and 2016. She is the only player in Bradley Women's Tennis history to receive all-conference recognition.

Bradley (11-13, 2-5 MVC) tied for fifth in the MVC standings this spring and the Braves will be the No. 6 seed for this weekend's MVC Women's Tennis Championship. Bradley will face I-74 Rival, No. 3 seed and tournament host Illinois State (11-11, 5-2 MVC) in Friday's quarterfinal action. The match between the Braves and Redbirds is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at ISU's Gregory Street Tennis Courts, but if weather forces play indoors, the teams will meet at 2 o'clock at the Bloomington Tennis Center.
