HOUSTON - The start of Bradley's 2017 season may have to wait another week.  With a preemptive state of emergency in Harris County declared by Texas governor Greg Abbott due to the formation of tropical storm Harvey in the Gulf of Mexico, this weekend's HBU Invitational at Houston Baptist has been cancelled.

Bradley was to join the host Huskies, Gonzaga and UT Rio Grande Valley in this weekend's tournament with the Braves slated to begin the season with a 5 p.m. match Friday against UTRGV.  Sunday's 3 p.m. game versus Houston Baptist also has been cancelled as the Houston area prepares for extensive flooding related to the storm.

Although the Braves are aggressively seeking options for competition this weekend, Bradley is expected to now open the 2017 campaign next weekend by facing Northern Illinois (Sept. 1) and Milwaukee (Sept. 3) in Evansville's ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic.
