Bradley Soccer will shoot for its fifth win in six games when the Braves visit DePaul Wednesday

CHICAGO - Bradley Soccer will shoot for its third straight win, and fifth in its last six games, when the Braves (5-3-0) visit in-state rival DePaul (3-3-1) for a non-conference clash Wednesday at Wish Field.  The Braves are coming off consecutive home shutouts versus Loyola Chicago (1-0) and Fort Wayne (3-0) and will be trying for a third consecutive win for the first time since winning three straight Missouri Valley Conference games versus Evansville, Missouri State and Central Arkansas Oct. 10-24, 2015.

NON-CONFERENCE ROAD TRIP
•    Bradley will play its second true road game of the season Wednesday when the Braves visit in-state rival DePaul for a non-conference clash in Chicago.
•    Wednesday's game will be Bradley's third straight Wednesday contest against a Chicagoland squad, following home wins Sept. 6 versus Aurora (3-0) and Sept. 13 in its Missouri Valley Conference opener against Loyola Chicago (1-0).
•    Extended by a stunning 2-1 setback Sept. 10 at then No. 17 Omaha in its first true road game of 2017, Bradley will be looking to snap a 9-game winless streak (0-6-3) in true road games since a 3-2 victory at Central Arkansas Oct. 24, 2015.
•    The Braves also are 0-6-2 in their last eight true road games against non-conference competition since a 1-0 win at Rutgers Oct. 31, 2014.

AGAINST THE BLUE DEMONS
10th Meeting | Bradley leads 6-1-2 | Bradley leads 1-0-2 at DePaul
•    Wednesday's game will be the 10th meeting in the all-time series between the in-state rivals.
•    The Braves boast a 6-1-2 overall record in the series, which dates to a 1-0 Bradley victory Oct. 29, 1988 at Peoria Notre Dame High School, Bradley's first-ever win against a NCAA Division I program.
•    Bradley is unbeaten (5-0-1) in the last six games versus DePaul and the Braves have won three straight in the series, all at Shea Stadium by shutout margins.

DEROSE'S 100TH IN-STATE RIVALRY GAME
•    Including a 3-0-0 record to date this season, Bradley head coach Jim DeRose is 64-28-7 (.682)all-time versus 11 teams from the state of Illinois in his 22 years as Braves head coach.
•    DeRose will coach his 100th game versus an in-state rival Wednesday at DePaul.
•    Against the state's other NCAA Division I private schools, DeRose boasts a 19-4-0 (.826) all-time record - DePaul (3-0-0), Loyola Chicago (10-3-0), Northwestern (6-1-0) - including 13-0-0 home record (9-0-0 at Shea Stadium).
•    Following Wednesday's game, Bradley still has at least four more games versus in-state competition remaining on the schedule this season, beginning Oct. 10 at home verus Eastern Illinois.

NEXT UP
•    Bradley's schedule slows considerably after its game-heavy opening stretch.
•    Following Wednesday's trip to DePaul, Bradley will have a rare weekend off and will not return to action until visiting Evansville for a Missouri Valley Conference match Sept. 27.
