Gagne and Ward Set for Washington Invitational

Senior Daniel Gagne and junior Michael Ward are set to compete with some of the nation's best as the duo will represent the Bradley track and field team at the Washington Invitational in Seattle on Saturday.

MEET INFO
The two-day meet begins on Friday with the Braves set to compete on Saturday. Gagne will run the mile, beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT, while Ward is set for the 3,000m run at 6:50 p.m. CT.

RECORD WATCH
Both runners for the Braves have a chance to threaten school records over the weekend. Ward currently holds the mile standard at 4:02.86 with Gagne owning the fourth-fastest time in school history at 4:05.83. Last year, Gagne set the program's outdoor 1,500m record at 3:43.08, while also earning second-team All-America accolades in the event.

Ward had already set the 3,000m record during his sophomore season in 2016 with a time of 8:05.66. However, during his redshirt campaign last year, Haran Dunderdale surpassed the record in 8:04.87 with this weekend marking the first opportunity for Ward to reclaim the top spot.

UP NEXT
The full Bradley teams are back in action next weekend as the Braves are slated to compete in the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame. The two-day meet begins on Friday.
