CHESTERTON, Ind. -- Junior Taylor Ledwein tied for fourth to lead three Braves in the top 20 and the Bradley Women's Golf team finished two shots off the lead in second in the final team standings at the Missouri Valley Conference Preview which wrapped up Tuesday.

The Braves entered the day one shot back of Missouri State after Monday's opening two rounds and held on to second in the final standings, finishing two shots behind the Bears in second place. Bradley shot the fourth-lowest score of the day at 328 at the par-72 Sand Creek Country Club to finish at 971.

Missouri State edged the Braves by two shots to claim the team title at 969. Illinois State was a distant third in the nine-team field, which included all but Evansville from the MVC, at 985, while Southern Illinois rounded out the top four at 987.

Ledwein paced Bradley for the first time in 2018-19, tying for fourth overall at 20-over par 236 as she wrapped up the two-day tournament with an 82 Tuesday. The top-10 finish was the first of the year for Ledwein and the ninth of her career as she moved into a tie for 10th in career top-10 finishes at Bradley.

Senior Frankie Saban also earned her first top-10 showing of the 2018-19 season with a sixth-place finish. Saban, who was the runner-up at last year's MVC Championship, finished four shots back of Ledwein at 240 after shooting an 81 Tuesday for the low round of the day for the Braves.

Junior Megan Medinger tied for 13th overall at 248 to earn her second top-20 finish of the young season. Medinger closed out the tournament with an 82 as she missed out on her second top-10 of the year by one stroke.

In her first tournament of the season, senior Chloe Horton placed 18th overall at 249 finishing out her first event of 2018-19 with a final round 85. Sophomore Maddie Hawkins rounded out the team lineup for the Braves with an 83 as she earned a share of 27th overall at 254.

Freshman Megan Welch was in the field as an individual and matched Hawkins' round of 83 Tuesday as Welch tied for 30th overall at 256 in her first outing as a Brave.

The MVC Preview was the final event of the 2018 Fall schedule for Bradley. The Braves will return to Sand Creek Country Club next spring for the MVC Championship which will be held April 14-16.
