WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Three Bradley men's golfers finished in the top five with senior Drake Bushong tying for second to pace the group as the Braves claimed the team title at the Zach Johnson Invitational for the second time in the last three years.

Bradley, which claimed the 2016 Zach Johnson Invite and placed second in 2015, picked up its second victory of the 2018-19 season with a seven-stroke advantage over second-place North Dakota State.  The Braves shot a two-over 286 during Tuesday's final round, for the lowest round of the tournament, at the par-71 Glen Oaks Country Club to finish at 27-over 879.

North Dakota State was second in the 12-team field at 886 (+34) and Creighton was third in the team standings at 888.  Missouri Valley Conference rival and tournament-host Drake tied Loyola for fifth overall at 896, while Valley foe Valparaiso was 10th (914) and Northern Iowa placed 11th (918).

Bushong entered the final day with a one-shot lead on the field and the two-time Zach Johnson Invitational medalist (2015 & 2016) was in the hunt for the individual title until the end.  Loyola's Tyler Anderson was able to edge out Bushong for top individual honors, however, firing a 72 to finish at one-over 214.

Bushong tied for second overall 215, finishing out the two-day event with a two-over 74 as he turned in his 104th career sub-80 round to tie former teammate Seth Trolia for the school record in addition to earning his school record 17th career top-10 finish.

Junior Charles Jahn earned his first career top-10 finish as a Brave, taking fourth overall at three-over 216.  The only player on the roster to shoot 75 or better in every round this season, Jahn matched a career-best with a one-under 70 Tuesday.

Senior Daniel Lensing matched Jahn's one-under 70 in the final round to earn a share of fifth-place at five-over 218.  The top-10 finish was the second of the year for Lensing, who has a team-best six rounds this season of 71 or better.

Fellow senior Michael Mounce had his best round of the tournament with a one-over 72 Tuesday to climb into a tie for 37th in the final individual standings at 230, while his brother Branden Mounce was nine shots better than both of his first two rounds with a final-round 74.  Branden tied sophomore Miguel Montelongo, who was in the field as an individual, for 59th at 240.

Bradley will have a week off from competition before closing out the 2018 Fall schedule Oct. 15 & 16 at the Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio.
