ST. LOUIS – After putting together back-to-back wins last week, Bradley (7-4-3) swept the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Weekly Awards, according to an announcement from the league office Tuesday afternoon.  Sophomore forward Gerit Wintermeyer (Wiesbaden, Germany) is the league's Offensive Player of the Week, while redshirt junior goalkeeper Albert Reinwart (Kirkwood, MO/St. Louis University H.S.) is the Defensive Player of the Week.

Bradley's leading scorer to date this season, Wintermeyer contributed to three of Bradley's four goals in the wins versus Omaha Oct. 16 and at Drake Saturday.  Wintermeyer assisted both of Younes Dayekh's second-half goals in the 3-1 victory against the Mavericks and the 6-foot-3 forward headed home the golden goal in the 100th minute of Saturday's 1-0, overtime win at Drake.

An honorable mention All-MVC selection as a freshman last fall, Wintermeyer currently leads the Braves with six goals, including four game-winners, and 15 points.  He joins junior forward Roman Schindler (Aug. 27) as Bradley recipients of the MVC Offensive Player-of-the-Week honor this season.

Reinwart was recognized for his work between the pipes in Bradley's two wins last week.  Omaha (16-7) and Drake (20-11) combined to outshoot Bradley, 36-18, in the two games last week, but Reinwart's efforts in goal helped the Braves win the scoring battle, 4-1.  He came through with three saves, including a stop of a potential game-tying penalty kick in the 76th minute, in Tuesday's 3-1 win against Omaha.  With Bradley facing a must-win situation at a location the Braves had not won since 2002, Reinwart came up with six saves Saturday at Drake to record his fourth shutout of the season.

Reinwart earned his second MVC Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor this season, following up on his Sept. 11 award, and Bradley now has claimed three defensive honors this season.  Redshirt junior defender Walid Kherat was recognized Sept. 5.

The Braves will be trying to stretch a 12-game (7-0-5) non-conference unbeaten streak in a pair of outings this week, tonight at Oakland and Saturday afternoon at home against in-state rival Western Illinois.  Bradley will close the regular season Nov. 3 by hosting Evansville.
