PEORIA, Ill. -- The NCAA recently released the latest Division I Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data, which held good news for Bradley.

Nine of Bradley's 15 teams (Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Women's Cross Country, Women's Indoor Track, Women's Outdoor Track, Women's Golf, Softball and Women's Tennis) boasted 100 percent Graduation Success Rates in the most recent cohort according to the NCAA release.  Overall, every Bradley program exceeded the national average for their respective sport with an additional team (Volleyball) owning a 90 percent GSR.

The latest GSR includes all student-athletes who entered Bradley as freshmen between 2008 and 2011 and earned their degree within six years.  Bradley Athletics combined for a 94 percent GSR to tie the highest rate for the Braves set eight years ago for the period of 2000-03.  Bradley has ranked in the top three in the MVC since the NCAA started compiling GSRs.  The national GSR for the 2011 cohort increased one point to 88 percent.

The GSR formula removes from the federal rate student-athletes who leave school while academically eligible and includes student-athletes who transfer to a school after initially enrolling elsewhere. This calculation makes it a more complete and accurate look at student-athlete success.
