Senior guard Shunseere Kent of the Bradley Women's Basketball team is one of two featured athletes features in the latest installment of the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Spotlight, presented by Enterprise Bank and Trust Company.
A family & consumer science major, Kent owns a 3.67 cumulative grade point average. She was third on the team in scoring at 8.6 points per game last year in her first season on The Hilltop. This season she has helped the Braves open the season with a 4-0 record for the team's best start since 2001-02.
To qualify for the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Spotlight, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20, completed at least one academic year at a Valley institution and must be at least a sophomore in academic standing.
Redshirt freshmen and first-year junior college transfers are not eligible. In addition to the academic qualifications, student-athletes are evaluated on their campus involvement and community service.
