PEORIA, IL – Bradley Tennis has added a pair of players with NCAA Division I experience to its roster for the 2019 dual meet season, according to an announcement Friday from sixth-year Braves head coach Matt Tyler.

Sophomore Nina Marjanovic (Belgrade, Serbia) will transfer to Bradley from St. John's, where she helped the Red Storm to the Big East Conference title and a berth in the NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship as a freshman last spring.  After focusing on her academic pursuits during the 2017-18 season, Lindsay Haight (Overland Park, KS/Blue Valley Northwest H.S.) has returned to the squad as a redshirt junior, pushing the roster to nine players for the upcoming 2019 dual match season.

Marjanovic joins Bradley No. 1 Singles player Sandra Maletin from Belgrade, Serbia.  Prior to beginning her collegiate career at St. John's, Marjanovic was ranked as high as No. 382 in the world as a junior player.  In her one season with the Red Storm in 2017-18, she posted a 4-5 singles record while playing primarily at Nos. 5 and 6 Singles.  She also posted a 7-3 record at No. 3 Doubles as a member of the St. John's squad that posted a 17-6 dual match record on its way to the Big East title.

"I am very excited to welcome Nina to our Bradley Tennis family," said Tyler.  "She is a great student and player that brings championship experience to the program.  I believe Nina will make an immediate positive impact on our team."

Haight owns a 5-7 career singles record and 3-12 doubles mark during her Bradley career.  She originally joined the Braves as a freshman in 2015, but stepped away from competition following the 2016 fall semester to focus on her nursing studies and upcoming clinicals.

Bradley enjoyed a strong fall tournament season as the team's seven incumbent players combined for a 44-26 (.629) record in singles competition.  The Braves won seven flight championships during their two multi-team invitationals at Northern Illinois and on their home courts, then enjoyed the second-best overall showing at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships by combining for a 16-11 (.593) record in the 10 flights of singles and doubles competition.  Bradley capped the fall season by advancing three players into the Singles Main Draw at the ITA Central Regional Championships for the first time in program history.

The Braves will open the dual match portion of the season by hosting the first four matches indoors at the Clubs at River City, starting Jan. 20 with a 10 a.m. contest against Milwaukee.
