Bradley sophomore forward Gerit Wintermeyer (Wiesbaden, Germany) and midfielder Younes Dayekh (San Jose, CA  Heritage HS) have earned 2018 All-West Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches, according to an announcement from the national coaching organization Wednesday. Wintermeyer was selected second-team All-West Region while Dayekh was voted to the third team.

Wintermeyer was the Braves' catalyst all season long, leading Bradley with 20 points and eight goals. He also led the Braves with four game-wining goals this season, and he will enter his junior season in 2019 as Bradley's active leader with 34 career points.  The 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year and a two-time all-league pick, Dayekh was tied for 10th in The Valley in scoring in 2019 with eight points.  Including his game-winning tally this season against Omaha, Dayekh will enter the 2019 season as Bradley's active leader with five career game-winning goals.

The pair of second-year players have made an immediate impact on the field for the Braves in their first two seasons.  Bradley's 2017 squad finished the year as the most-improved team in the nation, while this year's team enjoyed an undefeated non-conference season.  The Braves have combined for a 19-12-7 overall record in the duo's first two seasons.
