PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Softball will have its final two outings before opening Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend, with the Braves playing a game at Austin Peay Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Clarksville, Tenn., in addition to a noon contest Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn., against Lipscomb.

The spring break trip to Tennessee is the second venture this spring to the Volunteer State for the Braves (10-11 overall), who just wrapped up a trip to Louisville, Ky., where Bradley went 3-2 at the Louisville Classic over the weekend.  The Braves are 22-27 all-time in the state of Tennessee after a 3-2 record at the Blues City Classic in Memphis, Tenn., earlier this month and 10-10 in the Volunteer State under 10th-year head coach Amy Hayes

BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live stats for both midweek games.  Austin Peay (10-7 overall) and Bradley have split four previous games and Tuesday's contest will mark the first meeting between the two teams since splitting a doubleheader in Clarksville, Tenn., in 2002.  The Braves won the first meeting in Macomb, Ill., during the 1988 season and Austin Peay won a 1989 game at Evansville.

Lipscomb (14-6 overall) won both of the only previous meeting with Bradley, sweeping a doubleheader in Nashville, Tenn., during the 2009 campaign.

Senior Maria Schroeder is hitting a team-best .388 on the year and brings a career-best 13-game hit streak into Tuesday's game at Austin Peay.  The 13-game hit streak is the fourth longest over the last 20 seasons at Bradley.  Schroeder is hitting .432 (19-for-44) with 11 runs and nine RBI in addition to owning a .509 on base percentage and .568 slugging percentage during her streak.

Schroeder moved into Bradley's career top 10 for hits over the weekend at the Louisville Classic and she is currently six hits from moving up two spots on Bradley's all-time hit list into eighth.  She is also closing in on Bradley's career walks record, needing three base on balls to top Bailiegh Basham's (2012-14) school record 70 walks.

Named MVC Newcomer of the Week earlier Monday, freshman outfielder Stacia Seeton has a six-game hit streak of her own.  Seeton has slugged all four of her homers over her last six games, hitting .667 (12-for-18) with seven runs and nine RBI over that span.  The ninth Bradley freshman to hit at least four home runs, Seeton owns a .368 average this spring.

Junior Megan Mahaffy earned a win and save out of the bullpen last weekend at the Louisville Classic and now has 11 career wins as a reliever.  Mahaffy, who tied the Bradley career record with her 52nd relief appearance as a Brave Sunday, has just 10 starts to her credit in her 62 career appearances in the circle.  She is 3-3 with a save and 2.44 ERA in 28.2 innings out of the bullpen this spring.

The midweek contests wrap up a stretch in which Bradley will have played 17 of 18 games away from home.  The Braves are currently 7-8 away from (7-5 neutral) and will play 13 of the next 22 games at home following Wednesday's matchup at Lipscomb.

Bradley opens the heavy home stretch and a season-long, seven-game home stand Saturday with a noon doubleheader against Northern Iowa at Petersen Hotels Field at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex.
