Softball Series Opener With UNI Cancelled

PEORIA, Ill. – Saturday's Missouri Valley Conference softball opener between Bradley and Northern Iowa has been cancelled due to cold temperatures.

The Braves and Panthers were slated to open a three-game Valley series Saturday afternoon with a 3 p.m. contest, but the game was called off due to cold temperatures in the Peoria, Ill., area. The series has been shortened to two games with the squads playing a noon doubleheader Sunday at Petersen Hotels Field at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex.
