LAST YEAR AT DRAKE AND VALPO
The Bradley track teams wrapped up the 2017 regular season one year ago at Drake and Valparaiso. Michael Ward led the Braves at the Drake Relays, posting the second-best time in school history in the 5,000m run, while finishing second overall in the 1,500m two days later. Three other Braves also recorded top-five times in school history in the 5,000m run with Patrick Campbell, Jake Hoffert and Daniel Gagne excelling in Iowa.

Five Braves also claimed individual titles at the Crusader Open last season. Emma Makowski won the 800m crown, while Lauren Cunningham won the 1,500m, Jennifer Luksan took the 3,000m steeplechase and Sara Piller earned the 5,000m title for the BU women. Taylor Floyd Mews led the Bradley men by winning the 1,500m race.

NCAA REGIONAL WATCH
Three Braves are currently in position to qualify for the NCAA West Regionals, all posting their top times last week in California. Haran Dunderdale ranks 15th in the west region (17th nationally) in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 8:50.90. Floyd Mews is also 23rd in the region in the 1,500m run (3:43.77), while Hartman is 38th in the 800m at 1:50.00. The top 48 declared student-athletes in each region qualify for the NCAA Preliminary in May.

MVC RANKINGS
Closing out the regular-season this weekend, a number of Braves find themselves in a great position to contend for titles at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship, as 12 BU runners are ranked in the top five of their respective event. The even better news is that Bradley is peaking at the right time as 11 of the 12 times were set last weekend:

Alec Hartman • 800m • 1st
Haran Dunderdale • 3,000m steeplechase • 1st
Taylor Floyd Mews • 1,500m • 2nd
Jake Hoffert • 10,000m • 2nd
