PEORIA, IL – After opening the season with a 1-0-1 showing in home games last weekend versus Gonzaga (2-2 T) and Oral Roberts (2-1 W), Bradley Soccer adds a new challenge to the 2-games-in-3-days schedule by factoring a road trip into the equation this weekend.  The Braves hit the road for the first time in the regular season Friday by visiting IUPUI and then returning home Sunday to face Princeton in the 10th Danny Dahlquist Memorial Game.

Series History:  Sunday's matchup against the Tigers will be the first-ever men's soccer meeting between Bradley and Princeton … The Tigers will become just the second IVY League team to visit Shea Stadium in the venue's 16-year history, following a 2010 visit from Dartmouth … The Braves are 1-4-1 all-time against four IVY League members:  Brown (0-0-1), Cornell (1-0-0), Dartmouth (0-3-0) and Yale (0-1-0).

COACHING REUNION
Friday's game will feature a matchup of head coach Jim DeRose against a pair of his former assistant coaches … Brian Barnett is beginning his third year as the head coach at IUPUI after working on the Bradley staff for seven seasons (2009-15), rising to the position of Associate Head Coach during his time with the Braves … Bradley earned two Missouri Valley Conference Tournament titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances during Barnett's years … At IUPUI, Barnett's staff includes another former Bradley assistant, Ronnie Bouemboue, who was with the Braves during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

DANNY DAHLQUIST MEMORIAL GAME
Sunday's matchup against Princeton comes in the 10th Danny Dahlquist Memorial Game, a tribute to the former Bradley Soccer player who died days before the start of the 2007 season … While the event has drawn some of the biggest names in college athletics to Peoria for exhibition competition, Sunday's game against Princeton marks the first-ever regular-season matchup in the Danny Dahlquist Memorial Game history … The DDMG was introduced in 2009 as a spring exhibition game and it remained a spring game for its first five years with visits from Notre Dame (2009), Louisville (2010), Michigan State (2011), Kentucky (2012) and Northwestern (2013) … In 2014, the DDMG was transitioned to a preseason exhibition game for the Clash of Champions matchup against Notre Dame – the defending national champion Irish versus the defending MVC champion Braves – drawing a Bradley Soccer home game record 3,099 fans to Shea Stadium (the teams played to a 2-2 draw) … The preseason format also brought Creighton (2015), the Irish again in 2016 and Northwestern (2017) to Shea Stadium.

MVC OFFENSIVE PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK
Roman Schindler, Bradley, Jr., F, Vienna, Austria
Bradley's leading scorer in 2017 with seven goals, Schindler scored both Bradley goals in Sunday's 2-1 victory versus Oral Roberts, highlighted by the latest regulation-time game-winner in program history … Schindler gave the Braves a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute by finishing off a great set of quick passes from Jha'Lon Johnson and Gerit Wintermeyer with his run through the center of the box for a 1-v-1 matchup against the Golden Eagles keeper … With a second straight overtime finish looming, Schindler rose above the crowd to head home a Younes Dayekh cross into the low right corner for the game winner at 89:58.

ORAL ROBERTS SETS THE TONE
Pulling out a 2-1 win Sunday against Oral Roberts could be a good omen for Bradley as the Braves move deeper into the season … Bradley improved to 7-1-2 in the all-time series against the Golden Eagles by scoring the game-winner with just two seconds remaining in regulation Sunday at Shea Stadium … In five of the previous six seasons Bradley has beaten Oral Roberts, the Braves have gone on to earn five of their seven all-time NCAA Tournament appearances.
