Bradley Invitational Hits Markin Tennis Courts This Weekend

Bradley Tennis will host players from Cincinnati, DePaul, Northern Illinois, Saint Louis and Western Illinois in individual competition Friday, Saturday and Sunday

PEORIA, IL – Six teams representing six conferences with a total of 36 women's tennis competitors will be in action this weekend at the David Markin Tennis Courts as Bradley hosts the Bradley Invitational Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The six-team invitational will include five brackets of singles play and two brackets of doubles action, featuring players from Bradley (Missouri Valley Conference), Cincinnati (American Athletic Conference), DePaul (Big East Conference), Northern Illinois (Mid-American Conference), Saint Louis (Atlantic 10 Conference) and Western Illinois (Summit League). The tournament will start at 10 a.m. Friday with the opening round of doubles, followed by the first round of singles play. Saturday's action will begin at 9 a.m. with the semifinal round of singles, followed by the second round of doubles and the tournament will conclude Sunday with the final round of doubles at 9 a.m., followed by the final round of singles. All 36 singles players and all 16 doubles teams will be guaranteed three matches for a total of 78 matches.

Bradley opened the fall tournament season Sept. 7-8 by winning five of the six overall flights at the NIU Huskie Invitational.
