CONWAY, AR – Niklas Brodacki, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, scored twice to lead host Central Arkansas (3-3-1, 1-0-0 MVC) to a 3-0 victory against Bradley (5-1-2, 0-1-0 MVC) on a soggy field at Bill Stephens Track & Soccer Complex Saturday evening.

Saturday's start was moved up three hours in an attempt to avoid severe weather Saturday night and the Bears took advantage of the early start to snap Bradley's 12-game unbeaten streak, which dated back to last October.

Brodacki scored his fifth goal of the year in the 15th minute, then tacked on his second goal just 1:09 into the second half.  Alberto Suarez put the game away by scoring his first goal of the year in the 74th minute.  Jake Bates was credited with an assist on each of UCA's second-half goals, the first allowed after halftime by the Braves since their last loss Oct. 21, 2017.

Bradley outshot the Bears, 8-6, in the first half, but UCA turned up the pressue in the second half, outshooting the Braves, 19-5, after the break to finish with a 25-13 advantage.  Marc Olsen stopped all three of Bradley's shots on goal to post the shutout.

Bradley will return to action next Saturday, when the Braves host Valley rival Loyola Chicago in a 7 p.m. contest at Shea Stadium.  The featured event of Bradley University's Homecoming festivities, Saturday's game against the Ramblers will be followed by a postgame fireworks display.

Single-game admission for Bradley Soccer games is $6 for adults, $4 for youth (14 and under) and free for Bradley University students, faculty and staff, as well as active military members and immediate family, all with valid identification.
