MADISON, Ill. -- Senior Drake Bushong earned his first top-10 finish of the year, tying for seventh, as he helped the Bradley Men's Golf team finish fifth in the 17-team field at the seventh annual Derek Dolenc Invitational Tuesday.  Bushong was one of three Braves in the top 15 in the individual standings.

Bradley shot a five-over 289 in Tuesday's final round with junior Charles Jahn and senior Michael Mounce, tying for low round honors on the day for the Braves with matching 71's.

Tournament-host SIU Edwardsville won the team title by an impressive 12 strokes at 10-under par 842 behind a 10-under performance from individual medalist Kyle Slattery (203).

Omaha took second in the field at two-over 854 at the par-71 Gateway National Golf Links, while Iowa Western was third overall at four-over 856.  UT-Martin edged Bradley for fourth at 858 with the Braves following in fifth at seven-over 859 as BU matched the second-lowest 54-hole team score in program history.  DePaul followed Bradley in sixth at 16-over 868.

Bushong fired a two-over 73 to close out the tournament at even-par 213 as he earned a share of seventh-place individually.  The seventh-place finish was Bushong's first top-10 showing of the year and the 16th of his career to tie him with Andy Mickelson (1999-03) for the most top-10 finishes in Bradley history.

Jahn closed out the lowest 54-hole score of his Bradley career at one-over 214 with a 71 Tuesday, tying for 11th overall for his second top-20 finish of the year.  Mounce celebrated his birthday with an even-par 71 as well on the final day of play and tied Jahn for 11th overall at one-over 214.

Senior Daniel Lensing finished out the tournament with a five-over 76 and tied for 30th overall at seven-over 220.  Fellow senior Branden Mounce rounded out the lineup for the Braves in a tie for 51st at 12-over par 225, carding a three-over 74 in Tuesday's round.

Sophomore Miguel Montelongo was in the field as an individual and posted his best round of the tournament on the final day.  Montelongo finished out the two-day event with a three-over 74 to climb into a tie for 86th overall at 233 in the final standings.
