PEORIA, Ill. -- The busiest stretch of the 2018-19 Bradley Men's Golf season comes to a close with the Braves in action for the fourth consecutive week when they play at the fourth annual Zach Johnson Invitational in West Des Moines, Iowa, Monday and Tuesday.

Bradley has played each of the last three weeks with the Derek Dolenc Invitational in Madison, Ill., earlier this week marking the halfway point of the Fall slate for the Braves.  After missing the 2017 Zach Johnson Invitational, Bradley returns for the 2018 event.  The Braves won the team title at the 2016 event and placed second in 2015, behind a pair of medalist titles from senior Drake Bushong.

Held at the par-71 Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa, the Zach Johnson Invitational gets underway Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for the day's two rounds.  Tuesday's final round will feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start.  BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live scoring via Birdiefire.com throughout the two-day tournament.

The 2018 Zach Johnson Invitational will be the largest in the four-year history of the event with 11 teams, including MVC foes Drake, Loyola, Northern Iowa and Valparaiso, joining the Braves in the field.  Creighton, Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, IUPUI, North Dakota State, South Dakota and Western Illinois make up the remainder of the teams scheduled to compete.

Bradley was second at the inaugural Zach Johnson Invitational in 2015, which was held at Glen Oaks Country Club, and followed it up by winning the 2016 tournament by an impressive 22 strokes at the Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes, Iowa.

Bushong is a two-time medalist at the Zach Johnson Invite and claimed the 2015 title with the lowest 54-hole score of his Bradley career at one-under 213 the last time out at Glen Oaks Country Club.  Bushong tied for seventh at the Derek Dolenc Invite earlier this week for his first top-10 finish of the year and the 16th of his career to tie Andy Mickelson for the most career top-10's in Bradley history.

Fellow senior Daniel Lensing joined Bushong at the 2015 Zach Johnson Invitational and tied for 27th (230) in the event.  Lensing is tied for third on the team this fall with a 72.44 stroke average to lower his career stroke average to 75.82, which is 10th in school history.  He fired a career-best four-under 67 in the second round of the Derek Dolenc Invitational Monday afternoon.

Seniors Michael Mounce and Branden Mounce both played in the 2016 Zach Johnson Invitational, played in Rhodes, Iowa.  Branden earned his first top-10 finish as a Brave during that outing, tying for eighth at 227.  Michael, meanwhile, leads the team in stroke average (72.00) and has been among Bradley's top three finishers in each of the first three outings of 2018-19.

Junior Charles Jahn has also gotten off to a strong start in 2018-19, posting a 72.44 stroke average this fall and has been among Bradley's top three finishers in all three tournaments this season.  Jahn has placed in the top-20 in each of the last two events after carding the lowest 54-hole score of his Bradley career (214) at the Derek Dolenc Invite earlier this week.

After playing in four consecutive weeks to open the 2018-19 season, Bradley will have a week off from competition before completing the fall schedule Oct. 15 & 16 at the Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio.
