MVC Slate Completes Women’s Basketball Schedule

PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Women's Basketball will open Missouri Valley Conference play at home for the first time in three years with the recent announcement of the entire league slate completing the 2018-19 schedule for the Braves.
 
After wrapping up the non-conference schedule Dec. 28 with a home contest against Chicago, Bradley will open the Valley slate at Renaissance Coliseum on Friday, Jan. 4 against defending league champion Drake.  The Braves will start conference play against Drake for the first time since 2005-06.
 
A Jan. 6 home matchup with Northern Iowa wraps up the second of a trio of three-game home stands during the 2018-19 campaign.  The first MVC road trip of the season starts Jan. 11 at Evansville and includes a Jan. 13 contest at Indiana State.
 
The final two games before the start of the 2018 Spring Semester will be played at Renaissance Coliseum, with Missouri State (Jan. 18) and Southern Illinois (Jan. 20) both making the trek to Peoria in mid-January.
 
Bradley will face I-74 rival Illinois State on the road on Saturday, Jan. 26 to conclude the lightest January schedule for the Braves since 2011-12.  The 4 p.m. game at Redbird Arena will mark the fifth consecutive season Bradley will play the first game of the regular-season series against the Redbirds on the road.
 
A three-game MVC road swing continues Feb. 1 at Valparaiso and Bradley closes the first half of the conference schedule Feb. 3 in Chicago against Loyola.
 
The second half of the league schedule features five of the first seven games at home, with the Braves opening the stretch by hosting Indiana State Feb. 8.  A two-game home stand wraps up Feb. 10 against Evansville.
 
Bradley heads to Carbondale, Ill., Feb. 15 for a matchup against Southern Illinois and will chase the outing against the Salukis with a Feb. 17 tilt at Missouri State. 
 
The final home stand of the 2018-19 season kicks off Friday, Feb. 22 against Illinois State.  Valparaiso visits Renaissance Coliseum Thursday, Feb. 28 and Loyola will be the Senior Day opponent for the Braves on Saturday, March 2.
 
The Iowa road swing concludes the regular-season schedule with Bradley visiting Northern Iowa March 7 and the March 9 season finale at Drake matches the latest regular-season game in program history.
 
The MVC Tournament will be held March 14-17 in Moline, Ill.  The Braves face Quincy in their only exhibition game, Saturday, Nov. 3.
