Braves Continue Indoor Campaign at Indiana

The Bradley track and field teams head into week two of the indoor season with the Gladstein Invitational on the campus of Indiana University. The two-day meet is set for Friday and Saturday.

MEET INFO
The meet begins on Friday with track events starting at 3:20 p.m. CT. Action then resumes Saturday morning at 9:55 a.m. CT.

Other Division I schools at the Gladstein Invitational include the host Hoosiers, Butler, Cincinnati, Dayton, Miami (Ohio), Murray State, Oakland and Western Michigan.

2019 OPENER RECAP
David Shadid broke his own school record in the 600m last Saturday at Iowa, while the Braves recorded 21 top-10 finishes overall at the Hawkeye Invitational.

Shadid, who clocked a time of 1:21.19 in the 600m run, was also a member of the second-fastest 4x400 relay in school history. He teamed with Scott Seymour, Joey Simon and Alex Klinkner for a mark of 3:22.40. On the women's side, McKenzie Altmayer led the Braves and posted the eighth-best time in school history in the mile run with a mark of 4:56.00.

LAST YEAR AT INDIANA
Four different Braves won individual events, while Bradley also clocked a pair of top-five times in school history at the 2018 Gladstein Invitational. Scott Seymour (600m), Alec Hartman (800m), Taylor Floyd Mews (mile) and Ben Wagoner (5,000m) all won individual crowns. Floyd Mews also posted the second-fastest mile time, while Hannah Witczak posted the fifth-best time in school history in the 3,000m run.

UP NEXT
A small number of Braves will make the trip to Seattle for the Washington Invitational next weekend with the meet set for Friday and Saturday.
