Shadid Breaks 600m Record Second-Straight Week

Bloomington, Ind. – Senior David Shadid broke his own school record in the 600m run for the second-straight week, highlighting a day where six Braves registered top-10 times at day two of Indiana's Gladstein Invitational.

Shadid ran the 600m course in 1:19.89 – topping his previous standard of 1:21.19 by 1.30 seconds. The senior now has the fastest time in school history by an impressive 2.19 seconds over second place.

Junior Scott Seymour placed third in the 800m run with a time of 1:53.51 – missing his PR by a second. Additionally, freshman Joey Simon placed fourth in the race at 1:54.60 – the fifth-best time in BU history.

Freshman Miguel Agyei added his name to the BU record book for the second-straight night as he now is tied for 10th in the 200m dash at 24.04, while the Bradley 4x800 relay team consisting of Seymour, Simon, Ben Potrykus and Simon Paige finished in 7:50.58 – the fifth-best mark in Bradley history.

The 4x800 relay team on the women's side also recorded the fifth-best mark at Bradley in 9:34.04 with Emma Makowski, Niamh Markham, Kathryn Adelman and Amelia Lesher running for BU. Freshman Stephanie Nwachi also ran the 10th-best 200m dash, crossing the finish line in 27.21.

Bradley continues indoor action next weekend in Seattle as a small number of Braves will make the trip for the Washington Invitational, beginning on Friday.
