Ciaramitaro Leads Men’s Golf At Zach Johnson Invite

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Redshirt senior Alex Ciaramitaro tied for 26th and junior Jalen Hodges fired a season-best one-over 72 in the final round to help Bradley Men's Golf to a 12-place finish at the fourth annual Zach Johnson Invitational Tuesday.

Ciaramitaro led the Braves for the second consecutive outing, wrapping up tournament play with a four-over 75 in the final round at the par-71 Glen Oaks Country Club to earn a share of 26th at 15-over 228. He missed his first top-20 finish of the season and third of his career by a single stroke.

Hodges turned in the best round of his young Bradley career and had the low round of the tournament for the Braves with a one-over 72 Tuesday. He finished six shots back of Ciaramitaro in a tie for 44th overall at 234.

Freshman Josh Kirkham tied for 51st overall at 236, closing out the tournament with a final round 78. Fellow freshman Nick Armbrust had his best round of the Zach Johnson Invite Tuesday, matching Kirkham's final round 78 to move up into 67th-place in the individual standings at 245.

Freshman John Stillman rounded out the scoring for the Braves, three shots back of Armbrust in a tie for 69th at 248, carding a final round 83.

Bradley shot 303 on the final day to finish 11 shots back of 11th-place Western Illinois in the field at 939. MVC rival Loyola claimed the team title by two strokes with a 54-hole score of 888, while second-place Valparaiso (890) had the individual medalist in Garrett Willis at two-over 215.

The Braves return to action Oct. 14 & 15 at the Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio.
