PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Chris Reynolds has announced Bradley Softball head coach Amy Hayes has signed a contract extension.

The all-time wins leader in program history, Hayes led the Braves to a 29-21 record in 2019 for the team's best win total since 2004 in addition to matching the school season record for Missouri Valley Conference victories with a 15-10 mark last spring.  She is 10th all-time in MVC history with 115 league wins.

During her 11-year tenure at Bradley, the Braves have produced 12 NFCA All-Mideast Region picks, one CoSIDA Academic All-American, 12 First-Team All-MVC selections, 16 second-team all-league honorees, four CoSIDA Academic All-District choices and 15 First-Team Valley Scholar-Athletes.  In addition, Bradley claimed both the 2009 and 2014 MVC Tournament titles to make the first two NCAA Tournament appearances in program history.

Bradley Softball is slated to open the 2020 schedule Feb. 7-9 at the New Mexico State Invitational in Las Cruces, N.M.
