Ciaramitaro Leads Men’s Golf At Flyer Invite

KETTERING, Ohio – Senior Alex Ciaramitaro paced Bradley Men's Golf on the opening day of competition at the Flyer Invitational Monday, closing first-day action tied for 11^th overall as he helped the Braves finish the day 11^th in the team standings.

Ciarimataro had the low round of the day among Bradley's individuals with a two-over 73 in the first round at the par-71 NCR Country Club South Course. He chased it with a four-over 75 in the afternoon and is tied for 11^th overall at six-over 148, two shots out of a tie for seventh.

Freshman Josh Kirkham matched his low round of the season, carding a three-over 74 to open the tournament. He sits two back of Ciarimataro in a tie for 22^nd at 150 after a second-round 76.

Fellow freshman Nick Armbrust is tied for 68^th in the field at 161, posting rounds of 80 and 81 Monday. Junior Jalen Hodges rounds out the team scoring for the Braves with matching rounds of 83 and is alone in 74^th-place at 166. Freshman John Stillman fired an 82 during Monday's opening round, but had to withdraw from the tournament during the afternoon round.

Bradley was ninth in the team standings after a first-round 309, but shot a second-round 315 to slip to 11^th overall at 624. The Braves are just three shots back of 10^th-place Purdue Fort Wayne (621) and eight behind ninth-place Northern Kentucky (616). Wright State (578) has three of the top 10 individuals in the field and has a commanding 11-shot lead on second-place Oakland (589) heading into Tuesday's final round.

Final round action at the Flyer Invitational gets underway Tuesday morning with an 8 a.m. (CDT) shotgun start.
