BIRMINGHAM, Mich. -- Despite missing the first three tournaments of the 2019-20 season with an injury, three-time All-Missouri Valley Conference performer Taylor Ledwein appeared to be in mid-season form with a three-under 69 in the final round of the inaugural Chippewa Invitational Tuesday as she helped Bradley Women's Golf to a second-place team finish in the 13-team field.

Ledwein fired six birdies in Tueday's final round at the par-72 Birmingham Country Club after a first-round 76 Monday to capture second in the individual standings at one-over 145.  Katie Chipman of Grand Valley State matched Ledwein's final round 69 and claimed medalist honors at three-under 141.

Bradley, which had two individuals in the top 10 and five in the top 20, had the low team score of the day at 21-over 309.  The Braves used the final round 309 to move up two spots in the final team standings into second at 617, four shots back of team champion Western Michigan (613).

Ledwein's 69 was one short of matching her career-low round of 68 and she joined Danielle Lemek as the only players in program history to own three career sub-70 rounds.  Her one-over 145 tied for the fifth-lowest 36-hole score in school history as Ledwein earned her 14th career top-10 finish.

Senior Megan Medinger collected her first top-10 finish of the year and second career top-10 showing, tying for 10th overall at 156 after matching her first-round score of 78 during Tuesday's action.

Freshman Mara Flaherty closed the first 36-hole tournament of her Bradley career with an 81 to tie for 16th in the field at 158 as she earned her second top-20 finish of the year.  Sophomore Megan Welch matched Flaherty's final round 81 to tie for 18th overall at 159, posting her first top-20 finish as a Brave.

Rounding out the team lineup for Bradley was junior Maddie Hawkins in a tie for 38th overall at 166 after a final round 89.

Playing as an individual, sophomore Elyse Emerzian picked up her team-best third top-20 finish.  Emerzian was three shots better during Tuesday's action, improving on a first-round 81 with a final round 78 to move into a tie for 18th with Welch at 15-over (159).

Bradley travels to Hot Springs, Ark., for the Little Rock Classic, which will be held Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at Diamante Country Club in the final outing of the fall for the Braves.
