Game Recap: Soccer | | Bobby Parker, Associate AD for Communications
PEORIA, IL – For the second time this season, the Bradley soccer team and Loyola Chicago battled to a 0-0 draw in Missouri Valley Conference action. The Braves are now 4-5-4 on the year and 3-3-2 in MVC play, while the Ramblers move to 8-3-2 overall and 5-1-2 versus conference foes.

Loyola had the better of the play in the second half but the Braves were at their most dangerous during the second stanza. After a couple of solid chances in the first five minutes, junior Gerit Wintermeyer recorded the team's most dangerous chance in the 52nd minute when his shot from 10 yards out was fired into the ground toward the goal, forcing a tough save from the Loyola netminder.

Both defenses clamped down from there with only two shots on goal the remaining 60 minutes as the schools have now played 220 minutes of perfect defense during the 2019 campaign.

Loyola finished the game with a 12-4 advantage in shots and a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.

Senior Nathan Wisbey stopped four saves to keep his sixth clean sheet of the season.

The Braves continue MVC action on Sunday, wrapping up a three-game homestand with Valparaiso. First kick at Shea Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m.
