Jake Hoffert Named MVC Good Neighbor Award Winner

Senior Jake Hoffert of the Bradley cross country and track teams was recognized for his work off the course on Wednesday as he was honored as one of 10 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Good Neighbor Award recipients for the fall season.

The Valley recognizes 10 student-athletes three times annually, honoring the achievements of exceptional student-athletes through the Good Neighbor Award. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must be in good academic standing, must demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service, and must participate in a sport, during the season of recognition.

The 2017 Valley Cross Country Champion, Hoffert is a seven-time all-conference performer at Bradley and has led the Braves to three MVC Cross Country team titles during his standout career.

Hoffert is back in action on Saturday when he goes for his fourth-straight MVC Championship (and the team's fifth-consecutive). The action at Valparaiso begins at 10:30 a.m.
