Bozana Lojpur Named COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore women's tennis player Bozana Lojpur (Burnaby, British Columbia/Burnaby Mountain Secondary School) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after winning the Flight 2 Singles title at last week's Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships.
 
Lojpur claimed the top individual title in program history with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-0 victory over Drake's Liza Petushkova in the Flight 2 Singles Championship match Sunday in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  She also teamed with Nikki Perlwitz to finish third at Flight 2 Doubles.  Lojpur was a combined 5-1 at the MVC Individual Championships and is 6-2 in singles play this fall to go with a 6-3 mark in doubles.  A chemistry (business) major, Lopjur owns a 3.39 cumulative grade point average. 
 
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
 
Lojpur and Bradley Women's Tennis wrap up the fall schedule Oct. 17-20 at the ITA Central Regional Championship in Norman, Okla.
